The training vehicle was designed to respond the same on earth as the rover would on the moon. As for the terrain, the moon has the same surface conditions as parts of Arizona, Nevada, and new Mexico.

yes yes yes, but seriously, you can't replicate different gravity and that's the key part of the fun, I'd say, because that buggy would more or less suck on earth, but on the moon, you can get some serious air without even trying too hard. ;)
